Register for the Law Institute of Victoria Legal Assistance Scheme (LIVLAS)

What pro bono work can you do with LIVLAS?

You can register with LIVLAS as an individual practitioner or as a law firm.  LIVLAS offers facilitated meritorious pro bono referrals and coordinated cross-referral to the Victorian Bar Legal Assistance Scheme in diverse areas of law including property, probate, family law and bankruptcy. LIVLAS welcomes registration by practitioners in any area of law.

What are the benefits of registering for LIVLAS?

While many practitioners already engage in pro bono work on an ad hoc basis, participating through LIVLAS allows PILCH and the Law Institute of Victoria to formally record and acknowledge your contribution to pro bono, and assess the areas in which there continues to be an unmet legal need.

As a LIVLAS member you also receive invites to PILCH's free pro bono seminar series and copies of our bi-monthly publication PILCH Matters, which provides up to date information on pro bono and public interest law.

What do you need to do to register for LIVLAS?

Complete a registration form

If you would like to register your interest in assisting LIVLAS, you can download our application form, complete and return it to - Email Icon livlas@pilch.org.au. There is no fee for registration.
