Homeless Persons' Liaison Officer

The Homeless Persons' Liaison Officer (HPLO) is a newly created position who provides non-legal support to clients accessing the PILCH Homeless Persons' Legal Clinic.

How can the HPLO help you?

  • The HPLO can support people accessing the Homeless Persons' Legal Clinic before, during and after the legal matter
  • The HPLO can help people understand and engage with the legal process, help get relevant documents or assessments and can support you at court when required
  • The HPLO can assist people to access and link in with other support services within the local community
  • The HPLO can help you communicate and coordinate with existing support workers, lawyers and the court

The HPLO is not a case manager, but can support you to access and link in with case workers in the community.
