Legal training and seminars
PilchConnect is committed to building the capacity of the not-for-profit sector by improving legal literacy of those working in the sector and lawyers working with the sector.
In order to do this PilchConnect runs an accessible and affordable not-for-profit seminar series, is developing tailored training and has established a Law Masters subject in governing not-for-profits.

Law masters subject: governing not-for-profit organisations (Melb Uni) 2010
PilchConnect helped establish and teach a Masters subject in the Law Masters Program at Melbourne University. The subject is called Governing not-for-profit organisations and is open to both lawyers and non-lawyers. It covers issues such as:
- the diversity of the sector;
- the choice of legal structure and taxation issues; and
- an overview of regulatory issues and potential for reform.
The subject was run in 2008 and again in 2010.
