On 23 June 2005, the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services announced it would be conducting an inquiry into corporate social responsibility.
The inquiry will examine, among other things, the extent to which organisations and corporations do and should engage in socially responsible behaviour.
PILCH assisted non-government and community organisations prepare submissions to the Joint Committee, by facilitating the assistance of law firms to provide support with research and submission-writing. Submissions to the inquiry were due by 15 September 2005.

PILCH and the PILCH Homeless Persons' Legal Clinic made submissions to the inquiry.
