This first seminar for 2008 will provide an overview of the key legal issues arising for Not-for-Profit organisations which will be covered in greater detail throughout the 2008 series , including board roles and responsibilities, employment law, sound corporate governance, fundraising and revenue generating issues and risk management . This workshop (limited to 25 participants) will describe the ways in which a Not-for-Profit employer should evaluate and provide feedback to its employees, including progressive discipline procedures.  The workshop will also discuss the careful analysis that must be used if a Not-for-Profit needs to terminate an employee for any reason, and the steps to use in implementing the termination.
